Cai Lanbing is a Hangzhou-based musician whose work is rooted in classical music, branching into jazz, nourished by electronics, and threaded through with literature. Moving between piano, synthesiser, clarinet, and computer, she develops a musical language that combines emotional sensitivity with structural freedom.
Her work often begins with moments from everyday life that are both beautiful and melancholic, as well as fleeting images passing through her mind. Through natural imagery, poetic writing, and improvisation, she creates compositions that move fluidly between intimacy, imagination, and open-ended form.
Active across bands, solo performance, theatre, and film scoring, Cai Lanbing has always regarded composition as the core of her creative practice. Whether performing alone or collaborating with an ensemble, she searches for a delicate and romantic mode of expression at the intersection of classical music, jazz, and electronics.
On August 15, 2026, Cai Lanbing released her debut recorded work, Wetland.
蔡澜冰是一位常驻杭州的音乐人，以古典为根系、爵士为枝干、电子为养料、文学为脉络，在钢琴、合成器、单簧管与电脑之间展开创作。她的作品往往来自生活中美好又悲伤的片段，以及脑海中稍纵即逝的画面，在自然意象、诗性书写与即兴表达之间，发展出兼具细腻情感与自由结构的声音语言。
长期活跃于乐队、个人现场、戏剧与电影配乐等不同领域，蔡澜冰始终将作曲视为创作的核心。无论独自演出，还是与乐队合作，她都在古典、爵士与电子的交汇处，寻找一种细腻、浪漫的音乐表达。
